The County Director of Emergency Services proclaimed a Local Emergency in response to damage from the February 17th Storm sustained by all the communities in Santa Barbara County.
County staff is currently working with all jurisdictions to compile a Preliminary Damage Assessment. If the Governor proclaims an emergency, California Disaster Assistance Act (CDAA) may provide financial assistance from the State for costs incurred by Local Governments as a result of a disaster.
The Governor may also request an Emergency Declaration from the President which may allow for Individual Assistance in addition to Public Assistance. For residents and businesses reporting damages and cost information, please complete the Damage Survey for Residences & Businesses.
