Be aware of potential threats and hazards in our community

“Dog Days of August” is a spay/neuter promotion being offered by the Responsible Pet Ownership Alliance. The promotion offers county dog owners an opportunity to have their dog(s) spayed or neutered, vaccinated against rabies, microchipped and licensed for just $80 – a savings of more than $500. A one month supply of flea medication and e-collar is also included.

The promotion starts August 1, but space is limited and appointments are expected to fill up fast. Dog owners are encouraged to call now for a chance to secure this special $80 package. To schedule an appointment, dog owners should call one of the following organizations:

  • SB County Animal Services, Santa Maria Animal Center, (805) 934-6968
  • Santa Maria Valley Humane Society, (805) 349-3435
  • Santa Ynez Valley Humane Society, (805) 688-8224
  • C.A.R.E. 4Paws, (805) 968-2273

The Responsible Pet Ownership Alliance, a collaboration between Santa Barbara County Animal Services, Santa Maria Valley Humane Society, Santa Ynez Valley Humane Society, C.A.R.E. 4Paws, VIVA, and the Santa Barbara County Animal Care Foundation, works to help Santa Barbara County pet owners be responsible by ensuring affordable spay/neuter services are available countywide.
