Be aware of potential threats and hazards in our community

Protect yourself and your family this flu season with free vaccinations for all age 3 and older!

Santa Barbara County Public Health and Medical Reserve Corps are hosting free flu shots from 3-7 p.m. Wed., Nov. 1 at the Goleta Valley Community Center located at 5679 Hollister Ave., Goleta 93117. No appointment is needed.

An annual flu vaccination is the best way to prevent the flu and the flu-related complications that could lead to hospitalization and even death. Health experts recommend that everyone 6 months and older get a flu vaccine. The Public Health Department is collaborating with the City of Goleta to exercise the community mass
vaccination plan. The flu clinics serve to familiarize residents with the mass vaccination clinic operation and improve the county’s ability to respond to public health emergencies. Funded through the federal Center for Disease Control Public Health Emergency Preparedness Program.
