The Office of Emergency Management (OEM) coordinated the preparedness, mitigation, response and recovery functions related to emergencies and disasters, and also provide support to incidents, city emergency operation centers (EOCs), and Department Operations Centers (DOCs).
OEM also coordinates with an array of public and private partners - including volunteer and nonprofit groups - before, during and after emergencies. By developing strong public-private relationships, we ensure that facilities (including the Emergency Operations Center) and capabilities for community leadership to provide command, control and coordination of disaster response activities are effective and efficient.
One key project encompassed by this priority is the prioritization and significant contribution towards the approval and construction of a designated county Emergency Operations Center (EOC).
